UPDATE! Winlink 2000 Training

The Antietam Amateur Radio Association (ARA) of Hagerstown MD is sponsoring WinLink 2000 Training THIS SATURDAY (MAY 11), 2019. Seats are still available for both ARA and Non-Members; the updated portion of this announcement are in the details:

 

 

When:  Saturday May 11 from 9:00 AM-1:00 PM (building opens at 8:30)
Where: St. John's Lutheran Church, Education Building Basement
       141 South Potomac Street, Hagerstown, MD (See Map Link Below)
Cost:  Free
 

WinLink 2000 Training Class:
The Antietam Radio Association is sponsoring a hands-on WinLink 2000 (WL2K) Training Class this Saturday May 11, presented by ARRL Maryland-DC Section Emergency Coordinator Jim Montgomery, WB3KAS.  WinLink 2000 (WL2K) combines radio and Internet connectivity to allow worldwide email-over-radio capability, with the radio transparent to the user. WL2K figures prominently in emergency and contingency communications support:

Reminder: The April monthly breakfast is still on for the 27th of April!  Per an email many of is received from Bob:

    "We look forward to seeing every one of you on Saturday at the Rail Road Junction Restaurant on Saturday.
     The restaurant is still at 301 S Burhans Blvd - right across from the Rail Road Museum.

Where:   American Legion Morris Frock Post 42
               405 Northern Ave, Hagerstown  (see attached map)
               Enter the main entrance (press doorbell if locked)
               Turn right and go to the lounge and through the doors. 
 
When:   Before the first meeting of each month
              From ~5:00 to 6:30 PM
           
We will now meet in the dining room around the corner at the far end of the bar. Come and enjoy fellowship and good, reasonably priced food and drink before the meeting!
